About Henry


A native of Norfolk, Virginia, Henry studied at Morehouse College and the Howard University School of Law before starting his legal career in the Washington, D.C. office of an international law firm, where he practiced for several years. During this period, Henry had a general litigation practice with an emphasis on commercial disputes and environmental litigation. But he is perhaps most proud of his pro-bono work on behalf of the plaintiffs in Coalition for Equity and Excellence in Maryland Higher Education v. Maryland Higher Education Commission, a federal lawsuit involving allegations of inadequate support for Maryland’s Historically Black Colleges and Universities.
